Paradans, or wheelchair dancing, is a form of dance for individuals with disabilities. People with mobility impairments engage in what is known as wheelchair dancing, which is an expressive and professional dance style that provides an opportunity for individuals with various physical disabilities to experience the joy, freedom, and competitive spirit that dance can offer. In wheelchair dancing, dancers strive for a high level of technical skill and expression, much like in all competitive dance forms. Through careful choreography and dedication, dance is transformed into an art form that impresses and inspires. Wheelchair dancers, along with others, work hard to create choreographies that not only showcase their skills but also their passion for dance.
Duo: In duo dancing, two seated dancers compete together. Duo dancing requires dancers with different disabilities to work together and create a joint dance performance.
Combi: This involves one dancer in a wheelchair and the other dancer standing, forming a pair together. Dancing Combi usually means that the standing partner is often the leader, but both dancers contribute their unique strengths and skills. Both of these categories provide opportunities for various combinations of dancers to compete in wheelchair dancing and showcase their talent, creativity, and technical abilities.
This is an important part of promoting inclusion and diversity in the dance community, giving dancers with various abilities a chance to excel on the competitive stage.

My dance partner and I still hold a unique record in the history of the Swedish Dance Sport Federation, which I would like someone to take over.
We are the only couple in DSF’s history to have been finalists in both BRR and Tiodans. I would be the first to be happy if someone takes over that record.
